At Next Level Kitchens, we see ourselves as problem solvers. It can be easy to look at a plan and say, “put this here” — experience is knowing whether it should be there in the first place. How will it affect the way you use the space? Can it be manufactured and installed correctly? What does it mean for surrounding cabinetry, appliances, services and trades? Could that decision create a problem later in the project?
That is where experience matters.
We consider the project beyond what you see on the page. We think about functionality, construction, installation, clearances, services, materials and the small details that can have a big impact on the finished result. When challenges arise, we don’t simply identify the problem — we work through the solution.

Our Process
From the first conversation to final sign-off.
A successful project relies on more than the finished product. It requires the right decisions to be made at the right time.
Our process has been developed to take your project from an initial idea through design, planning, manufacture and installation in a clear and structured way. At each stage, we work through the details, identify potential issues and make informed decisions before moving forward.
Here’s what you can expect when working with Next Level Kitchens.
02 — Design Development
Turning the brief into a design that works.
With a clear understanding of your project, we begin developing the design — bringing together your ideas, the available space and the practical requirements of how everything needs to work.
This is where we start looking beyond simply what goes where. We consider proportions, functionality, workflow, storage, appliance integration, clearances, services, materials and how each element interacts with the next.
Every decision can have a consequence. Moving an appliance may affect services. Changing a cabinet can influence storage, clearances or surrounding joinery. A detail that looks good on a drawing still needs to be manufactured, installed and function properly once it is in your home.
This is where experience becomes an important part of the design process. We identify potential problems early, work through the options and develop practical solutions before they become problems on site.
The result is a considered design that doesn't just look right on paper — it's designed to work in the real world.
04 — Contract Signing
Understanding exactly what we’re delivering — before we begin.
Before your project moves into production, we meet with you in person to work through the project together.
We review the final design, selections, scope of works and the details of how your project will be delivered. We explain what we are doing, how we intend to do it, what is included and what you can expect as the project progresses.
This is an opportunity to ask questions, clarify details and make sure there are no assumptions on either side. We want you to understand what you are signing — not simply sign a document.
For us, the contract represents more than an agreement. It confirms that we share the same understanding of the project and are ready to move forward together.
Once everything is understood, agreed and signed off, we can confidently move your project into the next stage.
06 — Completion
The final details matter.
As your project reaches completion, our focus turns to the final details and making sure everything has been delivered as intended.
We carry out a final inspection of our work, checking the joinery, finishes, operation and details against what we set out to achieve. If something requires attention, we identify it and work through it before the project is formally completed.
We then walk through the finished project with you, giving you the opportunity to inspect the work, ask questions and understand any important information about the care and use of your new joinery.
Only once the final details have been addressed do we move to sign-off and handover.
For us, completion isn't simply the end of the job — it's delivering on the decisions, planning and promises we made together from the beginning.
01 — Initial Enquiry & Consultation
It starts with understanding what you want to achieve.
Every project begins with a conversation. We take the time to understand your ideas, how you use the space, what isn't currently working and what you would like to achieve.
This is also where our experience starts to add value. We can discuss what may be possible, identify areas that need further consideration and help establish the right direction for your project before getting too far ahead.
It's not about arriving with a predetermined solution. It's about asking the right questions first.
03 — Selections
Bringing the design together.
With the design taking shape, we begin working through the materials, finishes and details that will define the look and feel of your space.
Cabinetry colours and finishes, profiles, benchtops, splashbacks, handles, hardware and appliances are considered together — not as individual choices, but as parts of one complete design.
Our role is to help simplify those decisions. We guide you through the options, explain the practical differences between materials and products, and consider how each selection will look, perform and interact with everything around it.
It’s also about getting the details right. Thicknesses, edges, finishes, hardware and appliance specifications can all influence the final design and the way it is manufactured. By resolving these details before production, we create a clear specification for what is going to be built.
The result is a coordinated selection of materials and finishes that looks considered, feels like your own, and works with the design as a whole.
05 — Production & Installation
From detailed planning to precise execution.
With the design, selections and scope fully resolved, your project moves into production. This is where everything we have developed together becomes something tangible.
Your joinery is manufactured to the approved plans and specifications, with the details established during design development carried through into production. Dimensions, materials, hardware, appliance requirements and construction details have all been considered before we reach this point.
Once your joinery is ready, we move to site and begin installation. This is where planning and experience become just as important as the workmanship itself. Every home and every project can present its own challenges, and our job is to work through them while protecting the design intent and achieving the best possible result.
We also consider how our work interacts with the other elements of your renovation, helping coordinate the sequence of installation, benchtops, appliances and associated trades so the project progresses in the right order.
